OVERVIEW
Wedding festivities will be located in the Back Bay area of Boston. Back Bay is easily accessible by public transportation (known as the "MBTA" or "the T") and you can get around easily with a mix of walking, public transportation, and on demand car services (Uber, Lyft).
Parking is available but very expensive. We would not recommend renting a car unless you plan to visit areas outside of metro Boston.
Transportation
Flights
We recommend that you fly into Boston Logan Airport (BOS). The airport is public transportation accessible, but for easier and quicker access, use Uber or Lyft to get to and from the airport.
Subway
Boston's subway, known as the MBTA or "the T", is a convenient mode of transportation throughout the city and Amanda's favorite way to get around. We recommend using a Google Maps App to navigate public transportation. You can use THIS LINK for schedules, maps and more.
Parking
There are many garages around Back Bay, but rates are expensive. Street parking is very limited and requires Bostonian-level gumption to find and squeeze into small parking spots. If you plan to park, we recommend using an app like SpotHero to book parking ahead of time with discounted rates. Limited valet parking with the Marriott Copley is available at $75 per night.
We do not recommend renting a car unless you plan to visit areas outside of Boston. Public transportation: Uber, train and walking are much easier and cost effective.
